This section gives an overview of the dashboards and reporting methods I developed as a non-conventional process engineer. These tools are used to communicate weekly process status to upper management, and to diagnose and correct process problems.

The EDM process quality is directly affected by the conductivity - also though of as resistivity - of the workpiece being machined. Overcoming resistance within the working circuit is key for effective EDMing to take place.

My college senior design group worked together to create a visual aid device. The functional end-product showed real potential for improving the lives of the visually impaired.

In phase 1, I gained deeper understanding of the cooling holes processes, and what meaningful data looks like. Phase 2 involves developing an SQL database and accompanying data pipelines in order to create production and defect dashboards used to communicate status, and problem solve.

The properties of an infrared laser beam allow for precise machining on most surfaces. As a result, undesired laser machining can occur if the beam is not blocked or diffused properly by a material that resists the beam interaction.
